Is that a Newfoundlander accent?
For the joystick goo, one machine I use, the guy put socks on them. Works beautiful. Steering wheels suffer this too. It's from the material breaking down from hot and cold. Mostly the hot
Sure looks good from here. Rehab or a strip and flip? Gonna be eay to nice to take back to the woods 😮.
Excellent just what i needed to see
😢 I'm setting up a truck right now f250 Miller 280 NT welding setup service truck
I’m fixing to do a tooth holder on a 140u mulching head, and was wondering what you did to make it perfect level with the head itself. Also won’t be Arc gouging but have gouging tips for torch
Every 1800? Now I don’t want buy a scorpion
What truck is that?
Good old girl!
Thanks Mike. I followed your instructions and I am sure it will work fine. I only forgot the small o-rings on the temperature sensors, but greased them and they look fine. A local shop wanted me to pay over € 700,- for overhaul. I ordered the neccesary rings and gaskets in the uk for € 80,-. There was little soot build up in the furnace, only the flat round gasket on the furnace chamber was mising. I could not test run it yet, but I am sure it wil do fine.
That may be the conundrum…. as a logger you have to witness firsthand of removing the beauty so carpenters and manufacturers have something to do….
You're a logger and you're ok.
Worst song choice ever. You couldve done blue oyster cult burning for you
I want to have a job with y'all!! I'd work for & with you for the rest of my life!!
Cheer~~give or apportion (something) to someone as a share or task.
Keep up grate work and videos
Hello from Hartford WI
I see you looking at me,but you can't see me. Have fun in the woods
I have a customer that I just had this talk about timely final drive maintenance. And said he has had far less failure since I change them every 750 hrs on his JDs
Worst case scenario on opening them up is the customer pays for a reseal. I totally agree find a chunk open it up.
Mike are you a Ponsse dealer?
hey you don't need that gay stuff LOL
How do I find one for my #12 grader? Did you make it? Keep in mind old number 12 that I own is vintage 1952
@@MichaelJBerg Do you have a power slide and tilt? because it won't work well without those
I do not. 1952 number 12 8T model. I guess maybe an upgrade is due😄😄 wrenches and a pry bar to get things adjusted
The secret to them is push and pull the levers fast and hard and they won't kick as bad. You can also use the knuckles out of one that's not used a lot and inner change them with the blade lifts.
Are your grades 70 D, 8 T or 99 E
8T
I see you got one of those whizzer starters 😂😂😂
Job security for sure!!
How many truckloads of logs would that machine have to handle to cover that 24K repair? Looks like it would take all season
Depends on the logs. Hardwood or softwood? Mixed high quality hardwoods here in Pennsylvania, $24,000 worth of logs about a week or two.
Excellent video
Ooohh I hate when that happens!!
we don't know what the frack you are blathering on about...CONTEXT MATTERS, jackwang!
Smoke a doobie brother!
When I do that I put fresh oil to bearings before install the case. Greetings from Finland 👍
Great video, those single bearings always seem to break like that. Good catch on replacing before it got expensive.
Hi Mike, just came across your videos, I’m with you on regular oil changes, & old school, couple of questions on this particular drive hub if you don’t mind, Is there a reason you dry built the bearings?, & an observation, with them thrust washers on both ends of the bearings/gears, is it not a design flaw, my point is that there is very little tolerance between the washers & bearings for a decent amount of oil to flow in & through the bearings, would have thought an oil gallery would be in there, possibly why the bearings broke in the first place, I ask this with respect, nice video, 👍
They are flooded with oil when installed on the machine. They are in an oil bath.
👍 yeah I fully understand the mechanics, I’m a senior engineer in the UK, repairing all kinds of equipment, I’ve repaired many final drives, I’m just saying when the gear bearings are closed up with the thrust washers the gap is next to nothing, equipment I repair has decent gaps for the gear oil to lubricate the shaft bearings, just an observation. 🙏
👍👍👍👍😁
👍👍👍👍 Thanks for this.
Great video Mike
Any idea how many hours?
Nice video Mike - scheduled maintenance is a pocket book saver, operators need to keep the owners informed of the hours so this happens +/- 25 hours when needed. Like the longer vids of whatever your up to. Cheers and have a great weekend
I just heard of a guy that claims he never changed bogie casing oil in 8000 hours. I just don't understand why people won't change oil at recommended intervals, it just not expensive compared to grinding parts up.
I know a guy who never changes oil in his car or do any services what so ever on it. It lasts around 6 years before he has to get a new car. Then again his new cars costs around 3000-4000€.
Your channel adds a n interesting perspective to my life ... keep up the good shthit mike
G’day from Brisbane Queensland Australia. Love your work and the gee up you give to your workers, wood ticks never heard of them but one can assume they must be like the bush ticks here an F’ing pain in the arse . All the best
They are tiny and suck blood. They crawl on you and burrow into you. Deer ticks carry a disease called lymes. They are the size of a pin head. Regular ticks are just annoying bastards. Thank for watching
Keep the good work
Who was left unsupervised? The boys or you lol. Cheers and have a great rest of the week.
Those boys know how fortunate they are to have a boss like you? I’d give anything to find someone like you to work for. We have the same personality. Not many of us out there. 😂
Well done!
It's like having your own pit crew lol
Just what in the hell is this video about?Buddy you’ve got to get some psychiatric help.
Then you have invented very efficient brakes for trains.
That looks a lot easier than the way I had to do it a few years ago on a 850 timber pro. The old chain was junk, but pads were new.
We have one coming up like that 💩
Reminder me of song w/ lyrics: "Country boy can survive."
